Cave particulière / Domaine

Among the wine producers in the Rhône Valley, we distinguish between private wineries, cooperative wineries, and wine merchants.

A "cave particulière", or private winery (also called a "Domaine", or estate) is an independent winery. In our region, there are more than 1,400 private wineries. Their number guarantees the diversity and originality of our region's wines. Often open to the public, they offer direct contact with the winemakers.
